![]() Maximizes the usage of: all Minoletta Missles, Ray of Fire, Ninagauth's Bitter Mooring, Ninagauth's Killing Bolt and Tayn's Chaotic Orb. Minoletta wizard: 19 mig, 8 con, 14 dex, 19 per, 10 int, 8 res wood elf. His main con is that when he casts cc-spells, his maxed might is of no use as well as high int when he casts single target spells. Squishy wizard, versatile in that he can throw both damaging and cc spells, but somewhat conserving in his spell-usage (low dex). Classic wizard: 18 mig, 8 con, 4 dex, 19 per, 19 int, 10 res wood elf. I believe there are several wizard 'archetypes' that require different stat-spread. But wizard has way to versatile spell-set to be bound to a single playstyle. As long as you don't do anything silly like put your points in raising Resolve and Con you do fine. For a more classic wizard, int is definitely a must. The only one you really need to max though is Intellect, the others have much less significant impact. I did not dump any stats because I am often using my Wizard as a malee when he buffs himself (as you can tell from the video). Personally for me it's Might + Int first and foremost. You can see him in action here (highlight from twitch stream and because these are The Eyeless Hammers well.MC Hammer - Can't Touch this will accompany you ). Like quickly cover buffs and debuffs and potions with many characters all at once against especially powerful enemies. Spell Mastery - Deleterious Alacrity of Motion, DUH! Start with it and feel like a spellslinger should! It's very good when you need to do a lot of things very quickly. Careful dumping Resolve, getting interrupted over and over is like so totally lame. Casting less, more powerful, longer lasting spells helps you conserve spells and rest less overall. ![]() Saying otherwise is showing that you have never played around with a build at all to try and determine the way the game works. The loss in cast speed doesn't hurt as much as you think it will. Same thing with any other class you deal more damage and do it at the same speed with 3 dex or 22 dex. A 5th level figher easily hits between 20 and 35 points of damage per hit with an average speed weapon at the same speed in full plate with 3 dex or 22 Dex. If it actually effected attack recovery speed that would be different but it doesn't, is having a high reflex save somewhat nice sure in certain situation thats why i tend to play sword and shield style because it off balances the negatives.Īs for the animation speed if you max out dex and equip everything that raises it it only increases the animation speed by a fracttion of a second where as with maximum might your dps is so much higher. It has no purpose you can jack it up and see for yourself on a reset it has zero effect on anything for your character on any build. No you don't it doesn't do anything it affects attack animation speed and reflex saves that is all it effects at all. ![]() Originally posted by Wasted_46:stormcaller ranger was always and still is the only build I consider borderline cheating. ![]() There are a few broken items that can help certain characters do well, a high intellect Barbarian can do well with the spear Tall Grass as can a Ranger with the bow Stormcaller. It works well but there is a lot of micromanagment since you want to chain CC abilities so that the enemy never has a chance to act. My personal favorite would be Paladin (Tank and ACC buff), Priest (Buffer/Healer), 2 Druids (AOE DPS and CC), 2 Ciphers (Single Target DPS and CC), which is a really CC heavy party. The best party has a mix of different functions, but probably has at least: a character who can tank for about 10s, a priest, and enough CC to immobilize a dangerous target long enough to kill it. There are a lot of parties that do well on the highest difficulty setting. There really isn't one build that will crush the game, or one party. It depends a bit on your style and what you want since different classes do different things well:īest Tank: Paladin or Fighter (technically a Wizard can get a higher defense but it takes them a few seconds to buff up to that level)
